Big Sable Lighthouse Opens for Season
The Big Sable Lighthouse is located inside of the Ludington State Park. It is a two-mile hike out to see the 150-year-old lighthouse and keepers quarters. Guests can explore the downstairs of the quarters, the gift shop and watch a short video about the history of the light. Then climb the 130 stairs to see spectacular views of the State Park and Lake Michigan. Fee to climb the tower is $5 for adults and $2 for children 12 and under; must be 40" tall to climb. Ludington State Park, 8800 W. M-116, Ludington.

Music In the Parlor
Local musicians will be performing in the parlors of our Ludington Historic Bed & Breakfasts. After enjoying a nice dinner on your own, head to one of our three Ludington Inns for dessert and live music performed exclusively for our guests. The Lamplighter Bed & Breakfast, Ludington House Bed & Breakfast and Candlelite Inn Bed & Breakfast are all within walking distance of each other along historic Ludington Avenue. Cost is just $30 in addition to a two night stay at one of the participating inns of your choosing.

Blessing of the Bikes
Motorcycles of all varieties and sizes make their way to Baldwin every May for the annual Blessing of the Bikes. The weekend activities include a marketplace, with the blessing occurring on Sunday. Baldwin.

Standard Flower Show
Mason County Garden Club hosts its bi-annual Standard Flower Show. The theme this year is "From Mother Goose to Dr. Seuss." Open to the public Friday from 3:30-6pm and Saturday from 9am-5pm. Ludington Public Library, downtown Ludington.

Each spring, hundreds of volunteers gather along Ludington Avenue, the downtown boulevards, and the marina to plant 30,000 red, white and blue petunias, grown by Gustafson's Greenhouse.
